The brain child of Russ, a born and bred Barbadian residing in New York, Bash Brothaz was formed in 2005 and is still going strong. Russ got his start on the promoting scene when he teamed up with some friends to form the well-known group formerly known as Cidibash. Although Cidibash enjoyed much success, the team eventually agreed to dissolve as individual members pursued various career goals or other responsibilities.
Cidibash had an ever-growing following that was left with a void once the group dissolved. It is then that Russ decided to launch Bash Brothaz, an entity aimed at fusing entertainment and cultures.
Our other representatives are based in the Caribbean and North America. Ray (USA/New York); Kori aka Kinga (Barbados); and Allen (Canada/Toronto); all joined the group between 2005 and 2008.
So far, Bash Brothaz has primarily presented Bajan Soca artistes and has also partnered in the promotion of Jamaican Reggae shows. As an encompassing group, we plan to stage Caribbean cultural events (Reggae, Soca, etc) in the USA/Canada and, contrarily promote events of the North American culture (Hiphop, R&B, etc) throughout the Caribbean.
As we fuse these cultures as best as possible, we plan to stay true to our mission by ‘Exceptionally Exceeding Everyday Entertainment’. |
